Alhamdulillah since the MPD project was initiated in April 2006, we have had several universities taking part and holding various events.
Have a look below at the sorts of events that have been organised to date!

DeMontfort University
|

|
|
|
DeMontfort University organised a campus wide collection appeal and sent their very dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers all around campus encouraging people to donate. These fantastic and motivated brothers and sisters raised £791.60! |
|
|
|
|
Lancaster University
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Lancaster University also did a collection after a talk organised by their Islamic Society and raised £55.00 alhamdulillah. |
|
|
|
|
Leeds University
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Leeds University through jumu'ah collections raised £120.00. |

|
|
Leicester University
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Leicester University conducted several different events including holding a stall in the Students Union building throughout the week, had dedicated volunteers around campus collecting donations and had a very successful bake sale! The total raised exceeded £1200 masha'Allah! |

London School of Economics (LSE)

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
London School of Economics (LSE) conducted collections, had a stall and in total raised £501.00 through various activities! |
|

Nottingham University
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Nottingham University have alhamdulillah also conducted several events throughout the year. These include a fun day consisting of games, pool, arm wrestling, 'shave you head for World Aids Day', they've also conducted talks, had stalls and cultural fairs to name but a few! So far they have raised £2296.91! |

School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS)
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS) were very enthusiastic about getting involved and helped by holding a stall within their canteen where they very effectively utilised a chocolate fountain and collected £157.00. |
|
|
|
These are just some of things that have been done by participating universities. More exciting activities have been planned for future events!
